CANADEM Global Positioning System (GPS)

If you want an international career, then CANADEM GPS is your first stop. Almost all organizations list previous field experience as a prerequisite for employment, even placing it above graduate-level degrees. Don’t get lost in that all too familiar catch 22: "You need experience to get experience." 

CANADEM's Global Positioning System can show you the way. You tell us what your geographic and sectoral interest is and we will position you there. If you can fund your way, we can provide you with hands-on, in-country experience for a period of 6 months.

 
Placements include:

icon_warp5Pre-departure briefing session;
icon_warp5Minimum six months overseas posting;
icon_warp5On-going reporting and contact with
CANADEM GPS;
icon_warp5End-of-placement debriefing and follow on employment assistance.

To be eligible to apply, applicants must be:

icon_warp5A philosophical commitment to field work;


icon_warp5Available for the duration of the placement (at least six months);


icon_warp5Able to meet the financial requirements of the program;

icon_warp5A University graduate;


icon_warp5Have excellent interpersonal skills and sound writing skills.
