All CANPOL registrants are pre-screened – a process designed to secure objective, knowledgeable corroboration of their skills, experience, and personal calibre. We recognise international agencies and governments will have their own additional screening demands.

Former RCMP Officer (S/Sgt) 34 years of service in many areas of policing, including major drug investigations and police management training. International roles include significant field experience in Haiti: UN Mission - peacekeeping with Haitian Police (mid management and training role); technical advisor at the Haitian Police Academy (ICITAP); and technical advisor to Haitian National Police (ICITAP). Languages: English, French, some Spanish and Creole.
Former RCMP Officer 30 years experience. International Airport Security Officer with extensive international experience. Past responsibilities include: detection of fraudulent passports and visas; organizing multi-governmental training missions on illegal migration; liaison with international, regional and local government agencies responsible for persons and air freight over international borders. Served in both Washington DC and Pakistan for 3 years -- working on major investigations related to drug trafficking/importing/exporting, terrorism, money laundering and illegal immigration. Languages: English, French, basic Spanish.
Former Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Staff Sergeant 31 years experience in provincial policing. OPP regional traffic and marine manager providing operation support to the NE region of Ontario including First Nations liaison and auxiliary policing; secondment to Justice Canada representing the OPP on the Firearms Act; Detachment commander in less desirable communities (mid management roles); Incident Commander; crisis negotiator and crowd control specialist. Heavily committed to community projects and community policing. Field experience in UNMIK in Kosovo as a CivPol and policing trainer (Station Commander in Dakovica/ Gjakova Station, Pec region, D/Chief of Pec/Peja regional investigations unit responsible for serious crime investigations and providing training and guidance to 14 unit members ). Recent International Mission experience as part of the International Crime Tribunal in the Former Yugoslavia as Scenes of Crime officer.
