CANADEM Supports Humanitarian AssistanceTraining
CANADEM believes in the importance of building the capacity of our experts to better respond to the needs of UN agencies and their partners in humanitarian crisis situations. Through endorsing international training sessions designed to strengthen the skills and expertise of participants, CANADEM informs our experts of relevant training opportunities as they become available. To date, CANADEM experts have participated in over 100 international training sessions.
Courses and workshops cover a range of topics, notably Humanitarian Assistance, Logistics Response, ProCap Training, Child Protection, Gender-Based Violence, Communication in Emergency, WASH in Emergency, and Cluster Coordination.
Training course fees, accommodation, and board are usually funded in conjunction with the UN and the organization sponsoring the event – participates are only required to cover transportation costs* to/from the host country, plus other related expenses (such as local transportation).
