The Deployment Division is dedicated to advancing international peace and security through the rapid mobilization and mission management of individuals committed to international service. CANDEP specializes in surge capacity rapid deployments and offers a full service mechanism for getting Experts where they are needed – FAST!

We work in partnership with the Government of Canada, UN agencies, international organizations and national governments to set up deployment projects designed to quickly inject civilian expertise where it is needed. Our services range from simple deployments to project development and mission-management.

CANADEM's Deployment Division not only deploys experts, but also manages the overall implementation and monitoring of several key development projects, such as the Canadian Governance Support Office and the International Election Observation Project.

The CIDA-Funded Rapid Onset Humanitarian Emergency Experts Fund – RAP-Fund for short – provides immediate relief to UN agencies and Multilateral Organizations who are amongst the first respondents when humanitarian disasters hit.

On the policing, security and justice sector fronts, CANDEP's CANPOL program assists Canadian and international organizations by deploying highly qualified experts – and managing deployments of Canadian Police Missions when required.

These projects have different mandates and scopes, but all contribute to advancing international peace and security through the recruitment and mobilization of Canadian and international expertise.
