At the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the OSCE/ODIHR has established an Election Observation Mission (EOM) to observe the presidential election scheduled for December 19.

Ted Lojko, Jane Cooper, Margaret Skok and Elinor Caplan will join the mission as Short-Term Election Observers (STOs). STOs are deployed throughout the country in multinational two-person teams to assess the close of the campaign, voting, counting and the tabulation of results.

Observers will arrive in Minsk by Monday, December 13 and depart no earlier than Tuesday, December 21
